Miya Cech as Luna, a little shape shifting cartoon alien girl who is unaware she is the main character of Aaron and Jason's animated children's series Flogar. He soon becomes involved in a war to save the Tooniverse. Aaron lost his six year-old daughter Chloe in car accident, which resulted in his current behavior and led him to create Flogar. Tom Holland as Aaron Stentz, an alcoholic Emmy-winning animator and co-creator of the adult-animated science fiction comedy series Drone Life with his longtime friend Jason Avery and the animated children's series Flogar. The film won ten Academy Awards for Best Picture, Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best Animated Feature, Best Actor for Holland, Best Supporting Actor for Pattinson, Best Supporting Actress for Cech, Best Original Score, Best Film Editing and Best Sound, becoming the third anime film to win an Academy Award after Ava 2 (2027) and Spirited Away (2001) and the first animated film in history to win the five major Academy Awards. The film was also a commercial success, grossing $2 billion on a production budget of $175 million, becoming the first anime film to cross the billion dollar mark. The film received widespread acclaim for its animation, visuals, humor, characters, voice acting performances (particularly Holland, Cech, Thwaites and Pattinson), premise, story, screenplay, villain, themes, John Powell's musical score, action sequences, meta-commentary, ending and tribute to the greatest animators of the animation industry. The film follows Aaron Stentz, an alcoholic animator who is transported to a universe where cartoon characters from different shows and movies co-exist and must prevent an omnicidal cartoon character from destroying all of animation. War of the Toons is a 2030 Japanese-American animated action adventure science fantasy comedy film written and directed by Mamoru Hosoda, produced by New Line Cinema, Village Roadshow Pictures, RatPac-Dune Entertainment and Studio Chizu and distributed by Warner Bros.
